About Ruthin Swimming Club
Personal best times
The pool is 25m, four lanes, with low-turbulence lane ropes. Starting blocks are available at the deep end only.
The club ambition is to provide a programme of general fitness for all members. Swimmers interested in competition are encouraged and trained accordingly.
Volunteers
The club is run on a wholly voluntary basis and relies totally on time generously offered by our adult members.
Specific training programmes
Specific training programmes are provided for those developing towards higher levels of competition up to Area, North Wales and National Age Group Level. The club has developed well under the guidance of Head Coach Chris Clements.
Swimming events
Last year was very successful for both individual and team results, not least in the last Club Championships, which saw our swimmers, achieve 101 personal best times from 137 swims.
Club swimmers have also entered in many local competitions achieving creditable final places in many, including the North Wales Championships, the NWASA Shrimps Meet, the Cath Ankers & Junior Sprint Meets at Wrexham and the Valentines & Summer Sprint & Geoff Drew Meets at Holywell.
We also compete in the Four Towns Mini-league.
